12mm flat rectangles, about 8mm wide and 4mm thick, with polished sides or "windows".

Colors/description:

Translucent capri blue with a swirl of white in each bead, and a brown mottled coating around the edges.

Hole size:

1mm (estimated).

Defects:

I inspect polished beads individually and eliminate seriously defective beads before shipping.  I can't eliminate every bead which has a slight defect, so I use my judgement as to which defects are so serious that the bead can't be used.  Certainly, cracks, deep or long scratches, large pits, partially polished sides, large spots of picasso coating on the sides, and malformations are all enough for me to eliminate a bead.  But I may not eliminate a bead if it has very shallow scratches, small pits, or very small spots of picasso coating on the sides, or other small anomalies that don't ruin the overall appearance.  Translucent beads which have gotten picasso coating in the holes, so that the holes are dark, are not eliminated.  If you receive any beads with serious defects, that means that I overlooked them, and you should contact me for a pro-rated refund.  IMPORTANT:  With multicolored beads, like these, I also don't eliminate beads which have unusual swirls of color in them, or in which the colors deviate from the normal pattern of the other beads.  When I restocked these beads in late 2013, I found that more of the new beads had unruly swirls of color in them, in which the white and blue did not mix in the normal way.  Those beads are not being eliminated.

Comments:

The current batch of these beads is slightly more aqua than the picture indicates.  The picture that I am using is years old.  When I made the picture, I laid out the beads in a way that resulted in a lot of light reflections.  If I were doing it today, I would make it more of a close-up.
