I eliminate seriously defective beads before shipping. I eliminate beads with cracks, deep or long scratches, partially polished windows, large pits, large spots of picasso coating on the windows, and large bubbles in the glass (if the glass is translucent). However, I don't count very small pits, small nicks, very shallow scratches that are hard to see, or small spots of picasso coating on the windows as defects. If the beads are translucent, I don't eliminate beads with rough or frosty-looking holes running through them. Some beads may have gotten picasso coating inside the holes, making the holes look dark, and I don't count those as defective. If you receive any beads with serious defects, that means that I overlooked them, and you should contact me for a partial refund. |
How photographed: |
At the window in natural daylight. |
Comments: |
The last time I carried these beads I called them "teal", but I think they are more aqua than teal, so I changed the name. IMPORTANT: Please note that the picasso coating around the edges is now a medium yellowish-brown and not the grayish-brown that the previous batch had. (The first batch I ever bought is what's in the picture, and that batch had a darker picasso coating than the new beads.) In my opinion, the new picasso coating looks very good. |
