Country of origin: |
Czech Republic |
Size/shape: |
11mm (long) x 3.5mm (wide) x 3.5mm (thick) dagger-shaped beads. |
Colors/description: |
Translucent light yellow with a dark-iris coating on part of each bead. The iris coating has various colors in it, such as gold, brown, purple and blue. Some beads may also have a silvery luster coating on them, although it is hard to tell. |
Hole size: |
1mm (estimated). |
Defects: |
These dagger beads aren't quite as perfect as some that I have carried. Some of them are rounded at the end instead of pointed, and a few are simply malformed. I dropped the price by 50 cents per lot. |
How photographed: |
Under two daylight-balanced lamps. Note: Using lamps leaves two bright spots on each bead -- especially on round beads -- but that can't be helped. The close-up shot may show defects that the human eye can't discern. |
Comments: |
These are interesting beads. They have the same general appeal as gold-apollo beads (which have a gold coating on part of each bead), but the colors are more varied and complex. The beads are sold in lots of 85 beads because they come strung that way. |
