Beads per lot: |
50 |
Cost per bead: |
7.6 cents |
Bead material: |
Glass |
Country of origin: |
Czech Republic |
Size/shape: |
6mm (wide) x 3mm (thick) rondelles (tire-shaped beads) with facets around the outer edge. |
Colors/description: |
Clear glass with a spray of metallic color on each side of the bead. Judging from the pictures, the colors include a light bronze (or celsian color), a dark bronze, and hematite. |
Hole size: |
1mm (estimated). |
Defects: |
All fire-polished beads have some defective facets. |
How photographed: |
Under two daylight-balanced lamps. Note: Using lamps leaves two bright spots on each bead -- especially on round beads -- but that can't be helped. The close-up shots may also show defects that the human eye can't discern. |
Comments: |
In my picture, I show the beads in three ways: Strung, on their sides, and in a jumble. These are pretty beads. I have carried similar beads before, but not exactly the same. The supplier calls this color "valent", short for valentinite (a multi-colored mineral oxide), but I think that name is too obscure, since no one knows what valentinite is. |
