These beads are similar to the "gold apollo" color (clear beads with a spray of gold on part of each bead). These beads look just about the same as apollo beads, except that the spray of gold is a bit reddish, so I'm calling it "copper". The supplier's name for this color is "crystal capri" ("capri" is a term used by another of my suppliers, but I haven't a clue what it means). Depending on the light source, and the brightness of the light, the metallic portion of the beads can look bright copper or brownish. Regarding the beads themselves, the hourglass shape causes them to nest together like butterfly or farfalle beads do, with every other bead facing 180 degrees from the previous bead. You can see what I mean from the pictures. These beads come strung on strands of 44 beads, which is why I am selling them in lots of 44. |
