Style no.: |
G2187 |
Beads per lot: |
25 |
Cost per bead: |
12 cents |
Bead material: |
Glass |
Country of origin: |
Czech Republic |
Size/shape: |
10mm (wide) x 4.5mm (thick) puffy flat round beads ("puffy" meaning that the edges are round instead of square like a coin would be). I think that "tablet" describes the shape pretty well. |
Colors/description: |
Clear beads with a cloud of amethyst purple in each bead. |
Hole size: |
1mm (estimated). |
Defects: |
The clouds of amethyst are not consistent from one bead to the next. Some beads are mostly amethyst, and some are mostly clear, with many gradations in between. |
How photographed: |
At the window in natural daylight. |
Comments: |
I've always liked clear beads with a cloud of color in them. I used to call such beads "givre" beads (a word used by Swarovski for clear beads with a cloud of white in them), but I am abandoning that name because it isn't accurate. These beads are pretty nice. These beads are pricier than I think they should be, but I got them from one of my more expensive suppliers. I can't find them anywhere else. |
