3x5mm Bottle Green/Dark Blue Iris Faceted Rondelle Beads [50] (see Comments)
Style: | F595 |
Beads per lot: | 50 |
Cost per bead: | 8 cents |
Bead material: | Glass |
Country of origin: | Czech Republic |
Size/shape: |
3mm (thick) x 5mm (wide) faceted rondelles (tire-shaped beads). |
Colors/description: |
Translucent prairie or bottle-green glass with a dark blue multi-colored metallic coating on part of each bead. The supplier calls the coating "zairit". It looks a lot like a dark-blue iris coating, so I used that term. |
Hole size: | 1mm (estimated). |
Defects: | I haven't noticed any significant defects. However, fire-polished beads always have some imperfect facets. |
How photographed: | At the window in natural daylight. |
Comments: |
My picture isn't accurate. It makes the beads look a little more aqua than they are. The actual beads are slightly more towards olive green than aqua. When I shifted the color in my photo-editing software, it made the coating look wrong, so I left it as it was. I purchased these beads from one of my more expensive suppliers, which is why the price is so high. |
