Colors/description:
 Translucent dark blue; the color is not intense.

 1mm to 1.5mm (estimated).
Defects: The beads have a variety of defects:  They are not uniform in size from one to the next; the surface of the beads is not particularly shiny; and many of the beads have small pits and/or nicks in the surface.  Altogether, the beads are not very impressive.
How photographed: At the window in natural daylight.
Comments: The supplier's picture made the beads look really lovely.  It made them look perfect and richly colored.  But the beads are dark and devoid of much color, and they some surface defects (though not as many defects as the 4mm beads have).  Digital cameras in general tend to brighten up the colors of everything they photograph.  When I took my picture, that's what happened.  To make my picture more realistic, I had to tone down the colors a huge amount.  Despite the fact that I have tried to make my picture look as realistic as possible, it still makes the beads look nicer than they are.

The surface of the beads is pretty dull, almost like they have a matte finish.  The beads were advertised as 6mm beads, but they are considerably larger than that.  In fact, they seem more like 8mm beads than 6mm beads.
