Size/shape:

5mm long by 6mm wide "pony" (ring-shaped) beads with facets on the outside; the holes are about 2mm.

Colors/description:

Clear beads with bright pink-painted holes; I assume the manufacturer uses a specially formulated long-lasting paint, but the truth is that I don't know how durable the paint will be.

Hole size:

2mm to 2.5mm (estimated).

Defects:

A very small percentage of the beads (probably less than 5%) have defects, most notably bubbles in the glass, dirt in the glass, and/or spots of what appears to be paint on the outside of the beads.  Please note also that fire-polished beads always have some imperfect facets.

Comments:

I'm not sure that this pink is exactly "rose" pink, but I don't think it is fuchsia, which is what the supplier calls it.  I'm concerned about the durability of the paint inside the holes, but I'm sure the color will last for at least a few years, and possibly much longer.  These beads have larger-than-normal holes.  Pony beads are also known as crow beads.
