Defects: |
The picture revealed that some beads don't have an even pattern of spots on the sides, or that some of the spots have run together. Also, on some beads the small rings around the holes seem to be off center or crooked. However, these defects are hard to see with the naked eye. The beads have a very rustic appearance anyway, so I have not reduced the price. If you receive beads that do not have open holes (so that a string can't be passed through), you should contact me for a pro-rated refund.

Comments: |
When I first bought these beads, I assumed they were solid copper. I said to myself, "Bali silver beads are solid, and copper is much less expensive than silver, so these must be solid". Since then, I discovered that my main supplier (supplier E) was selling metal beads that were all made of a plated base metal. I also found out that TierraCast, a high-end American manufacturer of metal findings, uses base metal in all their products. That made me realize that I ws probably wrong, and that these beads were probably plated -- so I posted them saying that they were plated. However, I have since heard from the supplier, and they say that the beads are solid copper. Fabulous!
