Size/shape: |
15mm (from tip to tip) x 9mm (wide) crystal teardrops with the hole running sideways through the narrow end. These are Preciosa-brand cut-crystal beads, not fire-polished beads.

Colors/description: |
Zircon (translucent greenish blue, or bluish green) with a silvery AB coating on part of each bead. AB coatings are not heat-sealed to the beads, and so they are not very durable (but this is also true of the AB coating on Swarovski beads). |

Defects: |
These are high-quality cut-crystal beads. Despite that, probaby every bead has a few small nicks at the edges of some facets. On the beads that have an AB coating sprayed on them (like these), the nicks are all the more visible. I am inspecting the beads individually, and I am eliminating beads that have larger nicks, but I am not eliminating beads that have very small nicks. If you are dissatisfied with the beads, please contact me.

First, these are leaded-glass beads, but they pose no hazard to anyone. About the color: To my eyes, these beads appear to be much more green than blue (green as in medium teal). However, the supplier refers to them as "blue zircon". To make matters worse, they came out looking distinctly blue in the picture. I fixed up the picture at night, and I looked at the beads under both daylight-balanced fluorescent lights and incandescent lights, and they looked teal to me. I also had a recollection of their looking teal in the daylight. Consequently, I shifted the color in my photo-editing program. I don't know if these beads will look blue or teal to you, so you should not order them if you are very particular about the color. Please note that the crystal teardrops that have some kind of decoration (such as an AB coating) are considerably more expensive than the teardrops that have no decoration.
