Defects: |
The coating on Czech pearls is fairly thin, and I don't know how durable it is. Also, inevitably a few pearls will be missing some coating around one of the holes (a common defect with Czech coated beads). A few pearls may also have some anomalies in the coating, such as bumps, indentations or a bit of dirt. |
How photographed: |
At the window in natural daylight. |
Comments: |
IMPORTANT: The color of synthetically coated beads often changes with time. In the case of these beads, they have become less orange and more yellow. Now they look like a deep yellow (or perhaps gold) with a slight orange tinge. Because of this tendency of synthetically coated beads to change color (the coating is, after all, a kind of paint), I have stopped ordering them. I do, however, have a large stock to sell. These beads should never lose ALL their color, so you needn't worry that they will become colorless. |
