Defects: |
Coated beads usually have some small defects in the coating. In the case of these beads, the picture revealed a few beads with defects in the coating, but not many.
|
How photographed: |
Under two daylight-balanced lamps. Note: Using lamps leaves two bright spots on each bead -- especially on round beads -- but that can't be helped. The close-up shot may show defects that the human eye can't discern.

Comments: |
Although these beads have a synthetic coating, I'm not calling them pearls because the coating isn't lustrous. The truth is, the beads look a little cheap to me. The coating clearly looks synthetic, which makes the beads look like fake gold. I wouldn't have gotten them, but the supplier's picture made them look very attractive. Despite what I've said, however, they could be used as accent beads and might look nice.
