Colors/description: |
Light peachy pink. These beads are about mid-way between being peachy and being rosy. |
Hole size: |
1mm (estimated). |
Defects: |
Defects that are common to pearls include slight anomalies in the surfaces, and tags around the holes that have to be clipped off with nippers (although I don't see any of those problems in these pearls, so far). Pearls are synthetically coated, and I don't know how durable they are. |
How photographed: |
At the window in natural daylight. |
Comments: |
The actual beads have a slightly richer color than the picture indicates. Under my daylight-balanced light bulbs, they look lighter and more washed-out than they do in natural daylight -- and I fixed up the picture at night using my bulbs for light. When I looked at them during the day at the window, I realized my mistake. As I said above, these beads are mid-way between peachy and rosy. I wasn't sure whether to call them peachy or dusky. They are, frankly, a somewhat unusual shade of pink (in my opinion). I got them from a new supplier. Note: The beads have changed color slightly. As I write this in 2017, they look a little more peachy than they do in the picture. As I have said elsewhere on this site, I discovered a few years ago that synthetically coated beads fade or change color with time (and because of that, I am no longer purchasing them). If a pearl changes color to the extent that I feel I must re-take the picture, then I remove it from the site and put it into a discounted "faded pearls" mix. If you can still buy the beads individually, that means their color hasn't changed much. |
