Beads per lot: |

Cost per bead: |
2.6 cents |
Bead material: |
Glass |
Country of origin: |
Czech Republic |
Size/shape: |
3mm (from hole to hole) x 5mm (wide) nugget-shaped beads. Since they are wider than they are long, they can be considered unevenly shaped rondelles. Note: These beads are almost impossible to measure because of their small size. I suspect that they are only about 4.5mm at the widest point, but I am not sure. |
Colors/description: |
Translucent light pink with a heavy gold-luster coating. It's my opinion that the inner glass is clear, and that the pink color is caused by the coating, but I'm not sure. |
Hole size: |
1mm (estimated). |
Defects: |
I haven't noticed any defects. It's almost impossible to see defects in beads this small. |
How photographed: |
Under two daylight-balanced lamps. Note: Using lamps leaves two bright spots on each bead, but that can't be helped. |
Comments: |
As I said above, the beads may not be a full 5mm wide, but rather 4.5mm. I can't tell because they are difficult to hold and measure due to their small size. Important: The picture is not very accurate. It makes the beads look brown with hints of pink. The reason is that the gold coating photographs as brown where the light isn't reflecting off of it. In actuality, the beads look gold with hints of pink visible inside the beads. All of the beads in the pictures are sitting on their holes, so you can't see what they look like when they are strung. When strung, they look like uneven rondelles. I can't string all of the beads that I have bought that are in this shape, so I am including a picture of the green luster beads, which I did string. That will give you an idea of what the beads look like when strung. |
