Translucent bright red with a mottled gray, grayish blue and grayish olive "picasso" coating on the round portions. |

| Defects: | At least one facet on each bead is imperfect. These are fire-polished beads and the facet which was facing downward during the fire-polishing facet is not perfectly flat and smooth. The surface on most of the defective facets appear to be matte. The imperfections are not noticeable unless you look at the beads closely. I have lowered the price 40 cents per lot because of the defects. |

Because the beads were lying on a surface, the brightness of the inner glass can't be seen. I tried taking a picture of the beads from an angle, but the pictures came out blurry. The inner glass is a bright, rich red. The one bad facet on each bead (see "Defects" above) is unfortunate, but the picasso coating is very nice. |
