As I said directly above, English-cut beads are always poorly formed. In fact, I'm not even sure they are "cut" -- meaning that I think the facets are molded. The poorly formed shape of English-cut beads seems to be part of their charm, in the same way that rock-shaped beads and beads with stone finishes have charm. I wouldn't carry them at all except that they sell fairly well. Regarding the colors, it's important to keep in mind that the picture is a close-up and that you may not be able to distinguish the individual colors with your eyes when you are viewing the actual beads, which are very small. When viewed directly, they look to be a mottled brown. |
