Size/shape: |
6mm faceted beads with a molded pattern around the hole. The supplier calls this shape "Renaissance". It is similar to the cathedral shape. |
Colors/description: |
Bright opaque red with a dark gray/blue/green picasso coating on the molded portions around the holes.
|
Hole size: |
1mm (estimated). |
Defects: |
I haven't noticed any significant defects. However, fire-polished beads always have some imperfect facets. |
How photographed: |
At the window in natural daylight. |
Comments: |
The picasso coating is applied before the beads are facetted. The facetting process sometimes leaves bits of picasso coating between the facets, but I don't consider that to be a defect. My camera made the beads look somewhat orange, so I had to adjust the color in my photo-editing program. I don't think I got the red quite right, but it is close enough. The actual beads are a very pleasing color.
