6mm (thick) x 9mm (wide) faceted rondelles (rondelles are round beads which are wider than they are long). This shape is called the "gemstone" shape by many other sellers. |
| Colors/description: |
A mixture of translucent colors (ruby red, cobalt blue, light aqua, light green, dark amethyst purple, brown, clear) with a light-brown mottled "picasso" coating on the smooth portions of the beads around the holes. |
| Hole size: | 1mm (estimated). |
| Defects: | I haven't noticed any significant defects. However, fire-polished beads always have some imperfect facets. |
| How photographed: | At the window in natural daylight. |
| Comments: |
This is an interesting mixture of colors. The picasso coating is not as dark or heavy as it is on other similar beads I have carried. Please note that the light-aqua beads are lighter and paler (i.e., they have less color) than the picture shows. Important: The proportion of colors changes from one strand to the next; you may get more of one color than other colors. These beads were very popular, so I restocked them in April, 2015. |
