Beads per lot: |
10 |
Cost per bead: |
45 cents |
Bead material: |
Clay |
Country of origin: |
China |
Size/shape: |
Approximately 18mm (long) x 19mm (wide) coin-shaped beads, about 9mm thick. The size varies slightly from one bead to the next. |
Colors/description: |
Ceramic or pottery beads with a mottled turquoise and brown glaze. |
Hole size: |
2mm (estimated). |
Defects: |
The beads are not perfectly shaped because they are hand-made. Specifically, on many beads the glaze is thicker on one side than the other. (The beads were apparently strung horizontally and then painted with the glaze, and the glaze pooled a little on one side.) That is the only significant defect. However, if you like large, chunky beads, I still think you will like these. |
How photographed: | At the window in natural daylight. |
Comments: |
I recently purchased ceramic beads from China. Most of them were over-sized, but these beads are a more typical size for making jewelry. I really like them. I love pottery beads in general (what most people call ceramic beads), and these are a very nice size, shape and color. |
