Beads per lot: |
100 |
Cost per bead: |
3 cents |
Bead material: |
Glass |
Country of origin: |
Czech Republic |
Size/shape: |
4mm round (spherical). |
Colors/description: |
Copper-colored with a matte finish. The matte finish isn't accomplished by running the beads through acid, as is usually the case. Rather, the beads have a coating that is naturally matte (although the beads do have a little shine to them). I think the coating is synethetic, meaning polymer-based, but I'm not sure. |
Hole size: |
1mm (estimated). |
Defects: |
The beads appear to be in good shape. |
How photographed: |
Under two daylight-balanced lamps. Note: Using lamps leaves two bright spots on each bead -- especially on round beads -- but that can't be helped. |
Comments: |
I can't say why exactly, but I like these beads. The color is very intense. They look a little artificial in the sense that they don't look like real copper, but I still think they'll add zing to any design, especially if they are used sparingly. |
