5mm x 5mm hourglass-shaped beads with the holes running sideways through the middle of the hourglass. |
Colors/description: |
Opaque purple beads with a gold-luster coating (the coating isn't very heavy). |
Hole size: |
1mm (estimated). |
Defects: |
The picture revealed some defects. In fact, if you look at the close-up picture, you'll see two malformed beads and some discoloration on another beads. My impression is that the defective beads amount to less than 5%, so I haven't reduced the price. |
How photographed: |
Under two daylight-balanced lamps. Note: Using lamps leaves two bright spots on each bead -- especially on round beads -- but that can't be helped. |
Comments: |
I don't know what color the actual glass is that the beads are made from. It may be white or clear, with all the color (including the purple color) on the surface (which would make the beads twice-coated, once with purple and once with gold-colored luster -- the coatings are not synthetic). The picture, by the way, doesn't show the gold-luster coating well (it isn't very heavy). I love opaque purple beads with a gold-luster coating; I've got this color in a couple other shapes. I should mention that the hourglass shape of the beads causes them to sit at 90 degrees from one to the next. In other words, they nest together. I am selling them in lots of 44 because they come strung that way. |
