6mm (long) x 4mm (wide) teardrops with the hole running sideways through the narrow end. |
Colors/description: |
Bluish turquoise with lavender mottling and a gold-luster finish; the gold color is not very pronounced. |
Hole size: |
1mm (estimated). |
Defects: |
I noticed at least one bead which was slightly malformed (not unusual with small beads), but overall they appear to be in good shape. |
How photographed: |
Under two daylight-balanced lamps. Note: Using lamps leaves two bright spots on each bead -- especially on round beads -- but that can't be helped. |

The picture is accurate but doesn't show the gold-luster coating very well. It is not a heavy gold coating, but it is more visible to the eye than the picture shows. It's worth noting that the supplier calls these "turquoise/pink" beads. Apparently, to their eyes the lavender color that I'm seeing looks like pink. To me, it definitely looks lavender. The price for these beads was fairly high, partly because I didn't have the money to buy five mass, which would have given me a discount (sorry!). Nonetheless, in such circumstances I will usually divide the lots in half to make the price more affordable. But in this case the beads come 100 per strand, so I have to sell them in lots of 100 unless I want to count out every lot, which I don't. |
