Defects:

When I restocked these beads in April, 2013, I was chagrined to discover that the new batch was not as well made as previous batches.  A small percentage of beads are malformed, while many others have vertical indentations in one side of the bead.  It was too late for me to return the beads (I had already sent back a package to the supplier), so I kept them.  I estimate that the percentage of defective beads is about 25% or higher (possibly much higher).  Since I believe that a lot of my customers will end up using the defective beads, I lowered the price from $2.80 to $2.30.

Comments:

For whatever reason, my camera cannot capture the cobalt color.  The picture as it came out of the camera made the beads look like some other shade of blue.  In order to get it close to the cobalt color, I had to shift the hue and make other adjustments to the picture.  I got it somewhat close, but it still isn't right.
