3.5mm Bronze Cube Beads [100]
Cost per bead: |
3.4 cents |
Bead material: |
Glass |
Country of origin: |
Czech Republic |
Size/shape: |
Cubes with rounded edges and corners, approximately 3.5mm from hole to hole and 4mm from corner to corner. |
Colors/description: |
Glass beads (probably clear) with a bronze-colored coating. I don't know if the coating is actual bronze, but it's possible since bronze is not particularly expensive. |
Hole size: |
1mm (estimated). |
Defects: |
There are no significant defects, although if you look closely you might find some. Very small beads always have some defects. |
How photographed: |
Between two daylight-balanced lamps. Unfortunately, using lamps leaves two bright light spots on each bead. New pictures were taken in August, 2016. |
Comments: |
I don't know if the surface is actually bronze, but it is probably some kind of metal. I believe that the coating is fired onto the beads because I have never known it to come off).
When I restocked these beads in April, 2013, I discovered that the supplier's price had gone up, so I had to raise my price also. The supplier is inconsistent in the way it prices bronze-colored beads. Sometimes they make them expensive, and sometimes they make them cheap. There's no logic to it. To my eyes, the beads look somewhat yellow (meaning yellow-bronze). However, the supplier's picture makes them look a little reddish. Here is the supplier's picture for comparison: |
