Cost per bead: |
3.6 cents |
Bead material: |

Country of origin: |
Czech Republic |
Size/shape: |
4mm "English" cut beads; the shape is similar to bicones, but there is a roughness to the beads. |
Colors/description: |
Opaque chocolate brown with a bronze-luster finish. |
Hole size: |
1mm (estimated). |
Defects: |
These beads don't look as clean as the normally shaped faceted beads. Despite that, I buy English-cut beads once in a while because they sell fairly well. The facets are molded into the glass, not cut. |
How photographed: |
At the window in natural daylight. |
Comments: |
The picture makes these beads look more black than they actually are. In bright light, they definitely look like a dark-chocolate brown (although the color isn't visible in low light). As I said above, the facets in these beads may be molded, and the facets aren't as "clean" as I would like. Because of that, I recommend that these beads be used in informal jewelry. |
