6mm Yellow/Black Coated Bicone Beads [75]
Style: G1856
Cost per bead: 5.6 cents
Bead material: Glass
Country of origin: Czech Republic
Size/shape: 6mm bicones with rounded edges. A bicone is like two pyramids joined at the base, with the hole running through their centers.
Colors/description: Clear beads with a synthetic (i.e., polymeric) coating. The coating is a light yellow with dark gray or black concentrated at one end of each bead.
Hole size: 1mm (estimated).
Defects: The beads appear to be in good shape.
How photographed: At the window in natural daylight.
Comments: These are very interesting beads. Coated beads which have all the color in the coating look very different from beads which have the color in the glass, and it is an attractive difference, in my opinion. The mixture of yellow and black is also interesting.
This is one of those instances in which the actual beads look better than the picture indicates. To the eye, they appear to have stronger colors than they do in the picture. Also, some of the beads in the picture appear to be dusty.
The beads are being sold in lots of 75 because they come strung that way.
