6mm bicone-shaped (bicones are like two pyramids attached at their bases, with the hole running through the center).

Colors/description:

Translucent dark bluish purple.  (Note:  When tanzanite first came out as a new Czech color ten or 15 years ago, it was much more blue than it is today.  In fact, today's tanzanite color looks almost like amethyst.  These beads, being nine years old, are more blue than most newer tanzanite beads.)

Hole size:

1mm (estimated).

Defects:

The beads appear to be in good shape.

Comments:

These are beads which I had in the old shopping cart but never transferred over because I had used the supplier's picture.  At the time, I said that I used the supplier's picture because my own picture had come out poorly.  So I finally (five years later) decided to just do the transfer using the supplier's picture.  One thing is noteworthy:  The beads are not always so dark.  When held up to bright light, or viewed in daylight at a window, they are brighter and more colorful than the supplier's picture indicates.  The next time I order them, I'll try doing my own picture again (now that I have a new camera).
