Colors/description: |
Clear beads with a hard synthetic violet coating (to me, violet is always a medium shade, and it is more reddish than purple).

Hole size: |
1mm (estimated).

Defects: |
The synthetic coating on these beads feels quite hard to me, but I don't actually know how durable it will be. Since the underlying beads are clear, you can see the holes running through the beads; the holes are not perfectly smooth, which creates a somewhat "frosty" appearance, something I personally don't like. However, I've seen worse.

At the window in natural daylight.

Comments: |
I purchased these beads because I liked the color. However, I thought the color was in the glass, but it turned out to be in the coating. Even so, the beads are nice enough. If the price seems high, that's for two reasons. First, the supplier's price was fairly high, but also you are getting 80 beads per lot, not 50. I'm selling them in lots of 80 because they come strung that way. (Actually, you could get 79 beads in a lot. I noticed that some strands are one short.)
