Defects: |
The coating on Czech pearls is fairly thin, and I don't know how durable it is. Some of the coating may be missing from around the holes of a few pearls, or there may be some roughness in the coating around the holes. Sometimes there are little sharp tags of coating sticking out from around the holes; the best way to remove them is with cuticle nippers. There may also be some anomalies in the coating, such as bumps, indentations or a bit of dirt. Because pearls are lustrous, defects generally aren't visible to the naked eye, but may be seen under a magnifying glass. |
How photographed: |
At the window in natural daylight. |
Comments: |
I carried the silver pearls in the 8mm size before. These beads don't look like real metal, unlike the 6mm silver-colored beads (G580) which do look like metal. I got these beads from my most expensive supplier of pearls, which is why they cost so much.
