6mm Olive Green Round Glass Pearls [80] (see Comments)
Style: | G1954 |
Beads per lot: |
80 |
Cost per bead: |
2.5 cents |
Bead material: |
Glass |
Country of origin: |
Czech Republic |
Size/shape: |
6mm round (spherical). |
Colors/description: |
Glass beads (probably white) with a lustrous, slightly metallic, medium-light olive-green synthetic coating. |
Hole size: |
1mm (estimated). |
Defects: | The coating on Czech pearls is fairly thin, and I don't know how durable it is. Also, inevitably a few pearls will be missing some coating around one of the holes (a common defect with Czech coated beads). A few pearls may also have some anomalies in the coating, such as bumps, indentations or a bit of dirt. |
How photographed: | At the window in natural daylight. |

IMPORTANT: These beads have changed color since I purchased them. They have gone from being a light olive green to being a more intense, yet still light, olive green. Their color is more yellow than it was before, which makes them look more olive. Curiously, I like this color better then the original. But since I don't know if the beads will continue to change color, I have lowered the price substantially. The picture shows the original color. Please note that when I realized that my glass pearls were fading in 2013, I stopped purchasing them. Original comments: At the time that I am posting these beads, I have two other 6mm olive green pearls on the site, one which is less yellowish than these, and one which is slightly translucent and less metallic-looking. The price of these pearls is high because I got them from my most expensive supplier of pearls. That supplier has increased its prices almost 100% since I first started buying from them. |
