Under two daylight-balanced lamps. Note: Using lamps leaves two bright spots on each bead -- especially on round beads -- but that can't be helped. Also, the close-up shot may show defects that the human eye can't discern. |

I've carried these beads for a while in the 10mm size. I'm not sure whether the glass inside the beads is clear or light purple, but when you hold them up to the light, you can see light purple. The reason I think the inner glass may be clear is that coating clear beads with metal will cause colored light reflections inside the glass. For example, putting a gold-colored coating on clear glass will cause pink light reflections in the glass. When you are looking at these beads in low light, they will look like bronze; but if you hold them up to the light (either a window or a lamp), you can see through the bronze to the bluish-purple inside. It is very lovely. |
