Size/shape: | 6mm (thick) x 8mm (wide) faceted rondelles (rondelles are round beads which are wider than they are long); the hole runs through the middle. The supplier calls these 6x9mm beads, but they measure 8mm to 8.5mm wide. |

Clear beads with what appears to be two separate coatings, a pink coating and a gold or bronze coating, each sprayed on part of each bead. For more, please see "Comments" below. |
Hole size: | 1mm (estimated). |
Defects: | I haven't noticed any significant defects. However, fire-polished beads always have some imperfect facets. |
How photographed: | At the window in natural daylight. |

In the Colors/description field above, I use the word "coatings", but these coatings are not synthetic; i.e., not polymer-based. Rather, they are metallic. However, I can't tell whether they are heat-sealed ("fire-polished") onto the beads. The coatings look heat-sealed to me, but it's possible that they are sprayed on after the beads cool, as AB coatings are. If that's the case, then the coatings may not be durable. The supplier's site showed a brown bead, but what I got were these pink/gold beads; and I can tell you that they are much more attractive than the beads I expected to get! I really like them. |
