Defects:

Because of the expense of these beads, I am inspecting them individually and eliminating defective beads.  However, some beads have very small nicks in the glass and I am not counting those as defects.  I also noticed, after selling several lots of these beads, that the non-metallicized facets are often dull or partially polished.  A high percentage of the beads have this defect, so I'm not discarding them.  If you are dissatisfied with the appearance, contact me for a refund.

My picture above is a little dark.  Even so, the amethyst purple in these beads is not that colorful – it's like a gray-amethyst or brown-amethyst.  Please note that from some angles, these beads look angular, and from other angles they look square.  Here is the supplier's picture of the clear version of these beads (the picture of the amethyst version is no longer available), which gives you a different view of the beads:
These are Chinese beads, and I have to say that they are stunning.  I was more than a little surprised to get such good beads from China.  However, the price for the beads was higher than I expected, and the shipping was horribly expensive, which explains my high price.
